1. Which programming languages are required for msg systems’ projects?

Since msg systems realizes projects in all common programming languages, we expect young professionals to have a sound knowledge of at least one programming language. He/she should also have gained initial experience in object-oriented programming, such as C++, Java, JEE, ABAP objects, etc. In addition, we also expect the applicant to be able to quickly apprehend additional programming languages if required for a new project, and to apply his/her existing programming skills in a new environment.
 

2. What kind of functional skills does msg systems require for projects?

msg systems plans an employee’s project involvement based on his/her existing skills, interests and fields of expertise, as well as on the project requirements. Thus, we expect fundamental business know-how (our fields being insurances, financial services, healthcare, automotive), as well as consulting know-how. The willingness and ability to enhance existing knowledge and the ability to quickly and independently familiarize oneself with new subjects are mandatory. The employee is supported by our extensive training programs.
 

3. What are the prerequisites for employment at msg systems?

The applicant should have a university degree or similar education, solid technical qualifications, business consulting skills, a sense of responsibility, motivation, as well as strong social and communication skills. He/she should be able to quickly apprehend new areas and must have held part-time jobs or done internships during his/her studies or have acquired strong IT skills, programming abilities and industry know-how in previous professional experience.
Moreover, the applicant should enjoy creative teamwork as well as solving complex problems!
 

4. Which fields of study does msg systems prefer?

Degrees in technology-oriented, natural science or business fields, such as economics, computer science, financial/economic mathematics, physics, business administration or similar. msg systems also accepts applications from persons without a university degree; however, the applicant should have extensive industry know-how and long-term professional experience in this case.
 

5. Does msg systems employ students as well?

We offer students the following possibilities to get to know our company:
As a student worker, the student works part-time during the semester, or full-time when classes are not in session, independently supporting our project team.
Interns have the opportunity to be included in exciting problems, to independently solve such problems and to get a feeling for the “real working world”. msg systems prefers an internship of at least 3 months.
msg systems also offers support and advice for students writing a thesis by advertising certain topics, which can be found on our homepage under “Current Openings”, but we are also open to new, innovative suggestions.
 

6. What is the initial period at msg systems like?

Training is generally “on the job”, with support from management and colleagues. Project-oriented and personal training courses are also provided in the beginning. The new employee participates in an introductory day, where he/she is informed about the standard practices at msg systems and is shown the buildings and introduced to colleagues.
 

7. What kind of career growth possibilities does msg systems offer?

msg systems offers a wide variety of development possibilities: Our defined career paths serve as a guideline for your career, but are not carved in stone. 8. What kind of travel does the position as a consultant involve?

msg systems has customers across the globe, which is why it is frequently necessary for projects to be either partially or entirely performed at the customer’s location. In such cases we expect consultants to be willing to travel, but we do try to take employees’ personal situations into consideration. From experience we are fully aware that only satisfied employees are motivated workers.
 

9. Are there possibilities for working abroad?

As an internationally-active company we also offer experienced employees the possibility to work abroad; provided that the employee has special know-how, which is required for the project abroad.
 

10. Which type of application does msg systems prefer?

We prefer an application through our online template, which can be found at the end of each posted job opening. In order for msg to gain a full understanding of the applicant, the submitted documents should include a cover letter, with reference to the advertisement and title, a resumé in table form, including an overview of any project involvements or qualifications, as well as proof of education and letters of reference from previous employers. The cover letter and the resumé should be in German.
